These terms explain what Fiskal does, what it deliberately does not do, and what we each agree to. Please read the second section especially — it is the one that matters most for a tax app.

Who we are

Fiskal is operated by Nakhoda Technology, a business registered in Malaysia. By creating an account or using the app or website, you agree to these terms.

What Fiskal is — and what it is not

Fiskal is a tool that helps you organise your own tax records, keep your receipts, and estimate your tax and refund using published LHDN rules. Every figure it shows is an estimate produced from what you enter.

Fiskal is not a tax agent, does not give tax advice, and does not file anything with LHDN for you. It has no connection to LHDN. Filing your return, and the accuracy of what you file, remain yours. If your situation is complicated or a lot of money rests on it, speak to a licensed tax agent — no software should be the last word on that.

We take accuracy seriously: every rule, rate and limit in Fiskal is taken from official LHDN sources and carries the year of assessment it applies to. But tax rules change, your circumstances are your own, and mistakes are possible. Always check anything important against the official source before you rely on it.

Your account

An account is for one person. Keep your sign-in details to yourself, and tell us promptly if you think someone else has got into your account. Because your data is fenced to your own account, anyone who signs in as you can see everything you have stored.

Fiskal Premium

Premium costs RM99 per year. When you buy it in the app, Apple or Google takes the payment — not us — under their own terms, and it renews automatically each year unless you cancel. You cancel, and request refunds, through the same store account you bought it with; we cannot cancel or refund a store subscription on your behalf.

If your subscription ends, you keep access to everything you have already stored. Your receipts stay visible, searchable and exportable — they are your evidence for LHDN, not our leverage. What stops is adding beyond the free limits and the Premium-only features.

If we ever change the price, it will not change what you are already paying for in the period you have bought.

Using Fiskal fairly

Please do not try to break into other people’s accounts, overload the service, copy it wholesale, or use it to do anything unlawful. We may suspend an account that does. Upload only your own documents.

What belongs to whom

Your records and receipts remain yours. You give us permission to store and process them for the single purpose of providing Fiskal to you — nothing else. The app, the website, and the way they work remain ours.

Availability and change

We work hard to keep Fiskal running and correct, but we cannot promise it will never be unavailable or never contain an error. We may add, change or withdraw features. If a change materially reduces what you have paid for, we will tell you.

Responsibility

Because Fiskal produces estimates from what you enter, and because filing remains yours, we are not responsible for tax that is underpaid or overpaid, or for penalties, arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms removes any right you have under Malaysian consumer law.

Ending things

You can delete your account at any time from the account settings page. Before you do, consider downloading your data — deletion is permanent, and your receipts may still matter to LHDN for up to seven years.
